You only need two reasons to read the Tommen Boys series.

And if that’s not enough, well then… I give it all of the spice emojis *she laughed devilishly*. Need I say more? Since you’re asking….
In this review, I cover the first two books of the series (because I clearly couldn’t wait to gush). I go over the emotional journey, the impact of Walsh’s writing style, and the prevailing themes of love, trauma, and the complexities of young adult relationships. Before reading, I encourage you to look up the trigger warnings since the books cover some very sensitive topics. Even I was triggered (says the girl that reads horror books on the regular and doesn’t flinch).
Fine. You’re calling me out. Yes, I do have a personal connection to the story since my husband plays rugby, but I’m not sorry if it’s the greatest sport on the planet. Also, you don’t need to understand the sport. Just Google what rugby players generally look like, so you can have all the images while reading.
Overall, I really enjoyed both books. Book 2 took more of an emotional toll. But even through all of that, Walsh had an ability to add humor and character development. It wasn’t all sad times on the rugby pitch.
I’m excited to finish the rest of the series. If you want to talk more, comment on the video or find me on Instagram. I’m dying to find others who want to chat about the Tommen Boys.
Happy Reading.
Love,
Kait
