  • What a wild ride.

  • Such an easy read, even though there was a lot of depth. I devoured 289 pages in one day.

  • Great characters — a feat for the amount of variations.

  • I was introduced to Steven’s work on Kristen and Maddie’s YouTube channel. Her interview was inspiring and reminded me of Schwab’s journey in publishing. Maybe that’s why they’re great friends (please let me into your circle).

  • Great setting. There was a richness in all the snapshots.

  • It took me a moment to get into the story. I don’t know if it was because of the jarring prologue and first chapter — I spent a long time trying to figure out how they fit in. But once I got a grasp of things, I was done for.

  • The love was real and deep and consuming by the end.

  • A few tears were shed.

  • The ending was original and unique — no rinse and repeat. I didn’t see it coming.

  • I appreciated that all the loose ends were tied.

  • This should have been an adult book. Just because the leads are teenagers doesn’t mean that it needs to be shelved in YA. It has to do with the themes and writing style. When will the book community learn that? These characters don’t come across as teenagers because they’ve lived lifetimes.

  • I’m definitely excited to read Silver Cloak.

  • Steven portrayed love perfectly. It was the soul that really mattered, not the bodies they inhabited. This wasn’t thrown in for the number representation. It was deliberately thought out.

  • God… I wanted nothing more than to curl up in a blanket and live in Wales.

  • So much depth to the story. I don’t understand how Steven managed it. The Timelines. The characters. The emotions. The world building. Goddamn. You can see Steven’s experience. She’s clearly been writing for a while.

Happy Reading.
